The Home Owner Needs
My husband and I had found ourselves in an unfortunate situation with our home. We were in the beginning stages

to "Modify" Their Mortgage
Rather than simply buying the home, the so-called investor who "buys houses" says he will modify their
existing mortgage of $160,000, refinancing it to $242,000 and paying himself with the "new equity" he removes from their property
which only has a market value of $190,000. AND he says this will cut their mortgage payment in half! WOW!
How does
this sound to you? Does this even make sense?
It was clearly a red flag for this homeowner in North Carolina and not an uncommon
practice for these guys to do "loan modification". Again, not a traditional approach to buying the home. And, whom do
you think benefits most from this approach?
